Are you ready to experience your grandparent’s idea of the happiest place on earth? Taking a green-thumb over to Paramount Pots for the first time elicits the kind of giddy reaction you can film and put on Youtube. Just like rolling up to a waterslide-park, except that the slides have been replaced with a rainbow of glazed pots, and the wave pool is an endless sea of succulents. The family owners are always incredibly generous and more excited about the place than their customers, if that's possible. On an ordinary day you could walk away with a beautiful new pot, a handful of clippings and a complimentary refreshing iced tea whilst you browse the ceramic maze. “Well-priced” is an understatement, and you will mostly come across forms, colours and sizes that are hard-to-find across Melbourne. Take the time to appreciate the terrazzo garden settings on offer and consider an early retirement spent tending to your little garden and drinking tea till you pass out from mature-aged excitement.
