As if the authentic diner car as the main seating area isn’t cool enough, Silk City boasts one of the nicest outdoor dining spots in the entire city, as well as a downstairs lounge for dinner service and DJ nights. Despite the classic shiny exterior, the menu here goes above and beyond your typical diner fare, particularly for brunch: the fried chicken and waffles (that’s ONE dish, not two!) is the perfect sweet-and-savory option, and the salmon eggs benedict is a personal favorite. Be forewarned: Silk City’s excellent brunch reputation precedes itself, so expect a wait on an average weekend morning, particularly if it’s nice outside.
