Located just north of Old City, Northern Liberties is one of Philly's most popular neighborhoods filled with boutique shops, bars and restaurants. Cheap studio space lured artists from Old City in the 90's and the neighborhood has been in transition since. Now an established neighborhood, Northern Liberties may not be cheap anymore, but it's lure and charm are as strong as ever.
We’re just going to say it: the Tap is the heart and soul of Northern Liberties. Multi-level and many-roomed, we come here for nearly any occasion: sit at the bar for a quick drink with friends, bring your family upstairs for a slightly more formal experience in the red room, or enjoy every last minute of Summer on the second-floor deck. The food menu changes often, but the Standard burger is a pièce de résistance and the local beer selection never disappoints. If you only have one hour to spend in Northern Liberties, spend it here.
