Fremont is a small neighborhood on the north side of Lake Union known best for its old school hippies, and sweeping views of the Seattle skyline. In recent years Fremont has become home to some of the best restaurants and coffee shops in the city. Spend a little time here and you’ll understand why it’s affectionately known by it’s residents as “the center of the universe.”
The crown jewel of Fremont.
The Burke Gilman Trail stretches 19 miles through Seattle, but the mile running through Fremont is arguably the best and most scenic. It’s mostly used by commuters or exercise enthusiasts, but we think it’s a great way to see the city. Take a walk, or even rent a bike to get the full effect.
