Fremont is a small neighborhood on the north side of Lake Union known best for its old school hippies, and sweeping views of the Seattle skyline. In recent years Fremont has become home to some of the best restaurants and coffee shops in the city. Spend a little time here and you’ll understand why it’s affectionately known by it’s residents as “the center of the universe.”

In Fremont there is a giant troll sculpture under a bridge. The troll was actually the winner of a competition sponsored by the Fremont Art Council in 1980. You don't really need to go and see it; you just need to know it's there.
