The Dundas West strip is in a constant state of flux, with new shops and restaurants popping up on a regular basis, while older establishments become neighbourhood institutions. Dundas West is a nice blend of Portuguese bakeries, cozy cafes, curated shops and hip bars, creating an eclectic mix of daytime and nighttime activities. The condo boom has yet to hit the strip, allowing Dundas West to keep it's edge.

Kadbanu opened in the winter of 2014, bring Persian flavour to the street. The space is bright, tall and light envelops the restaurant thanks to wraparound windows. It’s a great spot to sit down and enjoy lunch, their lentil soup being the perfect dish to indulge in when it’s cold outside. Kadbanu offers a wide selection of unique sandwiches, stews and dinner plates. Make sure to leave room for cocktails, especially the Safka which is saffron infused vodka, sour cherry juice and pomegranate seeds.
