Despite being one of the most densely populated neighbourhoods in North America, the West End is a quaint quarter and home to a culturally diverse and neighbourly community. It is bordered by Vancouver’s downtown core on one side, waterfronts on two, and crowned with the city’s largest and oldest park. With an abundance of restaurants, bars, and awe-inspiring outdoor spaces the West End is an obvious stop for visitors. Its charming architecture and seemingly endless tree-lined streets make it a prime choice for anyone looking to take up residence in Vancouver.
22 km of dazzling city, ocean, and mountain views.
Locally designed textiles, prints, patterns, handmade tote bags, and pillows.
Delicious Romanian and Hungarian dessert shop.
A new addition to the neighbourhood, the Blind Sparrow offers a bounty of rotating local beers, local (Okanagan) wines, and delicious gourmet bar snacks. There’s a good cocktail list too (try the Escobar) and weekend brunches. In better weather you can sit at the patio and do some quality people-watching, though the nicely lit room inside is a good option for that too.
