District IX is one of the city’s fastest developing areas. The part inside Ferenc körút is a busy zone with the city’s most beautiful Market Hall, cafés, restaurants, and the spectacular Museum of Applied Arts. The area between Ferenc körút and Haller utca attracts tourists with great craft beers and cultural institutions, while the area behind Haller is still mainly industrial (with great architecture, though!).
Borbíróság restaurant offers an impressive wine list of nearly 100 items by local wineries. Its menu is constantly changing but is always based on fresh ingredients bought right across the street at the Central Market Hall. A Hungarian bistro, recommended especially for quiet dates and business meetings.
