District IX is one of the city’s fastest developing areas. The part inside Ferenc körút is a busy zone with the city’s most beautiful Market Hall, cafés, restaurants, and the spectacular Museum of Applied Arts. The area between Ferenc körút and Haller utca attracts tourists with great craft beers and cultural institutions, while the area behind Haller is still mainly industrial (with great architecture, though!).
Medence Group is an indipendent creative workshop, focusing on environmental design and recycling. Their space behind Central Market Hall is filled with arts, installations, and of course design objects made of recycled materials. Their bags are extra cool!
