District IX is one of the city’s fastest developing areas. The part inside Ferenc körút is a busy zone with the city’s most beautiful Market Hall, cafés, restaurants, and the spectacular Museum of Applied Arts. The area between Ferenc körút and Haller utca attracts tourists with great craft beers and cultural institutions, while the area behind Haller is still mainly industrial (with great architecture, though!).
Petrus is a very homely place, based on Hungarian ingredients and well-known dishes, but with a French approach – and big portions. Both Michelin Guide and Gault&Millau recommend the place – try the Fledermaus (Wiener Schnitzel) and you will understand, why.
