Museum of Applied Arts
The center of Hungarian arts & crafts.
District IX is one of the city’s fastest developing areas. The part inside Ferenc körút is a busy zone with the city’s most beautiful Market Hall, cafés, restaurants, and the spectacular Museum of Applied Arts. The area between Ferenc körút and Haller utca attracts tourists with great craft beers and cultural institutions, while the area behind Haller is still mainly industrial (with great architecture, though!).
As an open-minded and mixed use venue, Trafó House of Contemporary Arts is one of the capital’s most avantgarde institutions. It showcases many genres from dance to new circus, music to visual arts in a unique and authentic manner.
