District IX is one of the city’s fastest developing areas. The part inside Ferenc körút is a busy zone with the city’s most beautiful Market Hall, cafés, restaurants, and the spectacular Museum of Applied Arts. The area between Ferenc körút and Haller utca attracts tourists with great craft beers and cultural institutions, while the area behind Haller is still mainly industrial (with great architecture, though!).
Founded by the Hello Wood creative team and the Economic Polytechnics, Technika is a community wood workshop that offers anyone the opportunity to learn working with wood. Courses and workshops are available, but you can also buy a daily ticket and create your own furniture with Technika providing you space, materials and tools.
