NOTA

Neighborhood of the Arts (NOTA) is no doubt the cultural epicenter of Rochester. Back in 2000 it experienced a rebirth when a trail of public art, visual exhibits and installations popped up. ARTwalk, as it was and still is known, catapulted the tired neighborhood into a vibrant, bustling section of town. Now, there is no shortage of art studios, galleries, restaurants, cafes, fitness studios, living spaces, and creative-class businesses occupying salvaged industrial factory buildings and Victorians. NOTA’s diversity of artists, small business owners, and established cultural gems make it a sanctuary for all who want and expect a little more from their community.

Get Caked doesn’t leave anyone out of their sweet treat game. Gluten-free. Dairy-free. Gluten and dairy lovers. They have everyone’s back. They also cater to almost any allergy or dietary restriction—and do it deliciously. In fact, both owners live with Celiac Disease and lactose intolerance so they know first-hand the importance of being an inclusive cake shop. Not to pick favorites, but if you can’t decide what to get, the blueberry oatmeal cookie and Boston Cream cupcake are primo.
