Back in the day, Ybor City was home to the world’s largest cigar rolling factories and the central hub for hispanic refugees to make new lives. Today, although some of those factories still stand, they are occupied by some of our favorite restaurants, bars, and after-work hangouts. From sushi and breweries to the historic architecture, Ybor City offers some of the coolest places to visit. The City also boasts multiple historic hispanic clubs including the Cuban Club, Centro Asturiano, and El Centro Español de Tampa. Overall, Ybor is a modernization of some the coolest history Florida has to offer.
An eatery that combines the best Spanish, Cuban, and Italian dishes, Carmine’s is the place to go to get some of the most authentic food around. Their menu ranges from classic Deviled Crabs and Cuban Sandwiches to Fettuccini Alfredo and Eggplant Parmesan. Authentic hispanic dishes, a cool space and bar specials; definitely stop by Carmine’s for an awesome time.
