Back in the day, Ybor City was home to the world’s largest cigar rolling factories and the central hub for hispanic refugees to make new lives. Today, although some of those factories still stand, they are occupied by some of our favorite restaurants, bars, and after-work hangouts. From sushi and breweries to the historic architecture, Ybor City offers some of the coolest places to visit. The City also boasts multiple historic hispanic clubs including the Cuban Club, Centro Asturiano, and El Centro Español de Tampa. Overall, Ybor is a modernization of some the coolest history Florida has to offer.
A small cafe just off the busy 7th street, The Bunker is our go to cafe for a little peace and quiet. They serve Teas and locally roasted Buddy Brew Coffee (french press FTW) and have a light menu for breakfast and lunch. They also have small events like Singer Songwriter night every Thursday with live performances or Open Mic Nights. Overall a cool place to hangout. Board Games included.
