Downtown & Yaletown

Vancouver's dense and diverse centre is home to the city's main arts and cultural venues, sports stadiums, major shopping districts and the wild, rambunctious nightlife of the Granville Entertainment Row. To its immediate south-east, the former industrial lands of Yaletown have transformed since the 90's into one of the densest residential neighbourhoods in North America. Packed with great restaurants and fun little shops, and bounded by a scenic stretch of the False Creek waterfront, it is a must for any visitor to the city.

This casual and delightful bistro on Granville is a little bit French, but nevertheless decidedly local. Natives of the BC interior, the owners are passionate about home-grown ingredients and spinning them into home-style cooking. It is only open from 8AM to 3PM and sports a healthy queue at weekend brunch hour, but it is well worth the visit. If you sign up for their mailing list, you might sneak into the occasional dinner seating. Wink, wink.
