Granville Island & Fairview

Even though Granville Island is one of the most visited places in Canada, it is the most intimate of busiest places. Distinctly influenced by its industrial and marine past, Granville Island and Fairview's core is about the one-of-a-kind shops that celebrate quality and heritage and are ok with watching fast trends sail by.

Founded in 1999 by Deborah and Mark Mercier. Deb was the driving force behind the creation of the store being a long time tea drinker and only tea, never to this day ever having a cup of coffee. These two have a way of making you feel like family. Their cheery dispositions and eagerness to swap travel stories is half the reason this shop is loved by locals. The other half is their vast selection of tea that is a direct result of customer preference and suggestion. Taking the time to listen to what customers say informs their abundant selection of rare and popular teas. Famous for their loose-leaf tea wall, it’s not a visit unless you try their Masala Chai Latte – a long held secret recipe. Rumor has it, Starbucks even tried to nab the elusive deets.
