Affectionately abbreviated as O4W, the neighborhood is steeped in Atlanta's history, most notably because it marks both the birthplace and final resting place of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Today, it is highlighted by some of the most interesting new developments in the city. The neighborhood is a proverbial melting pot of Atlantans with a number of unique offerings designed to suit any lifestyle. O4W helps stitch together the other neighborhoods around it and contains an eclectic mix of both old and new restaurants, shops, and parks.
Sure it looks like it's falling down from the outside, but this Atlanta staple hosts some of the best concerts and festivals in the city.
Designed and built by the pub's owner with a wonderful smattering of tactile and unassuming architectural materials, this spot is eclectically awesome and ingrained in Old Fourth Ward culture. Sitting by itself, it provides a hangout oasis that is living-room-comfortable, and has both a great bar and down to earth menu. They encourage anybody and everybody to stop by and stay awhile - slash - for as long as you could possibly want. Bantam Pub is a tried and true neighborhood spot.
