Affectionately abbreviated as O4W, the neighborhood is steeped in Atlanta's history, most notably because it marks both the birthplace and final resting place of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Today, it is highlighted by some of the most interesting new developments in the city. The neighborhood is a proverbial melting pot of Atlantans with a number of unique offerings designed to suit any lifestyle. O4W helps stitch together the other neighborhoods around it and contains an eclectic mix of both old and new restaurants, shops, and parks.
Sure it looks like it's falling down from the outside, but this Atlanta staple hosts some of the best concerts and festivals in the city.
This heralded concert and event venue has a tremendously distinct interior space reminiscent of a 15th century medieval dungeon, and that's only a part of the allure. It is entirely its own experience and, as a result, is hands down a can't-miss in the neighborhood. Undoubtedly, you'll almost always see a line forming outside the door for the next amazing band or event.
