Affectionately abbreviated as O4W, the neighborhood is steeped in Atlanta's history, most notably because it marks both the birthplace and final resting place of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Today, it is highlighted by some of the most interesting new developments in the city. The neighborhood is a proverbial melting pot of Atlantans with a number of unique offerings designed to suit any lifestyle. O4W helps stitch together the other neighborhoods around it and contains an eclectic mix of both old and new restaurants, shops, and parks.
Sure it looks like it's falling down from the outside, but this Atlanta staple hosts some of the best concerts and festivals in the city.
Lovely local ice cream shop that has an extensive history in the city of Atlanta and makes you feel good without being too kitschy or trying too hard. Word on the street is that they've beaten out other far more gigantic ice cream competitors in blind taste tests and it's well-known to be probably the most inviting place to grab a scoop or other sweet in the neighborhood.
