Affectionately abbreviated as O4W, the neighborhood is steeped in Atlanta's history, most notably because it marks both the birthplace and final resting place of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Today, it is highlighted by some of the most interesting new developments in the city. The neighborhood is a proverbial melting pot of Atlantans with a number of unique offerings designed to suit any lifestyle. O4W helps stitch together the other neighborhoods around it and contains an eclectic mix of both old and new restaurants, shops, and parks.
Sure it looks like it's falling down from the outside, but this Atlanta staple hosts some of the best concerts and festivals in the city.
A brand new skate park right off the BeltLine has become as much a skater's hangout as an amphitheater for passersby to check out someone attempting their next kickflip. It's located just perfectly so that it's visible enough to intrigue but private enough not to create a fishbowl effect. Also, there's a gigantor field right next to it for any and all sorts of other outdoor activities, festivals, pickup soccer games, etc. Awesome spot to be in the neighborhood.
