Covent Garden is a popular tourist spot that is defined between Long Acre (north), Strand (south), Drury Lane (east) and St Martin’s Lane (west). It quite literally has a colourful past, known for its fashionable fruit and vegetable market then later becoming a red light district. Nowadays you can still experience the beautiful buildings and hidden windy streets that house many major cultural venues, independent shops and cafes, world-class restaurants and high-end hotels.
Wear dark clothes at On the Bab as you’ll no doubt find yourself elbow deep in bright, flavourful sauce. This Korean eatery serves street food and specialty drinks in a relaxed restaurant setting. The fried chicken (choose from four toppings) and spicy pork buns are particularly good, whilst ordering a pitcher of beer ups the novelty factor.
