Davis Square

Officially designated as a square by the City of Somerville in 1883, Davis Square has a long history as a nearby neighbor to downtown Boston. However, it wasn't until the late 1980's that the square and surrounding blocks began to boom, after the MBTA extended the Red line to Davis. Today, Davis is a vibrant nightlife and dining district bustling with a unique mix of hipsters, college kids, young parents, and professionals. It's got everything one might need—but if not—you'll find yourself a short five stops on the T to Park Street Station and downtown Boston.

If you find yourself at Five Horses it’s probably because you love craft beer, american food, or both. You’ll find new takes on classic american dishes, that stand out for their flavor and uniqueness. Try the KFCGH (Kentucky-Fried Cornish Game Hen) or the Brussel Sprouts which—I promise—will make you love brussel sprouts again. The draft beer list is impressive, and between the patio, two-tiered bar, and restaurant, there is a seating arrangement for any size group. *Pro Tip: Both the bar and the restaurant get packed on the weekend and for brunch, so expect a wait or make a reservation ahead of time.*
