Davis Square

Officially designated as a square by the City of Somerville in 1883, Davis Square has a long history as a nearby neighbor to downtown Boston. However, it wasn't until the late 1980's that the square and surrounding blocks began to boom, after the MBTA extended the Red line to Davis. Today, Davis is a vibrant nightlife and dining district bustling with a unique mix of hipsters, college kids, young parents, and professionals. It's got everything one might need—but if not—you'll find yourself a short five stops on the T to Park Street Station and downtown Boston.

Spoke is a great place for a date, a taste of vintage wine, or just appetizers with friend or two. The seating is limited especially for more than four people so plan ahead. This is definitely the place in Davis for the wine enthusiast but even if you like your wine in a box, the friendly waitstaff and bartenders will find something to fit your taste. *Pro-Tip: The bar is first come, first served, but tables require a reservation with a food order. They don’t open Sundays, but the kitchen is open every other day until 11pm.*
