Davis Square

Officially designated as a square by the City of Somerville in 1883, Davis Square has a long history as a nearby neighbor to downtown Boston. However, it wasn't until the late 1980's that the square and surrounding blocks began to boom, after the MBTA extended the Red line to Davis. Today, Davis is a vibrant nightlife and dining district bustling with a unique mix of hipsters, college kids, young parents, and professionals. It's got everything one might need—but if not—you'll find yourself a short five stops on the T to Park Street Station and downtown Boston.

Posto is the perfect spot in the fall to get a nice warm Italian meal paired with an exceptional glass of wine. The bar is small, but overlooks the wood-fire oven and covers you in the smell of fresh made pizza. On the high-end of the price scale you should head here to impress a client, or a date, or just #treatyoself to some of the best italian food outside of Boston’s North-End. *Pro Tip: They’re open 7 days a week until 10pm, but they don’t open before 4:30pm.*
