Davis Square

Officially designated as a square by the City of Somerville in 1883, Davis Square has a long history as a nearby neighbor to downtown Boston. However, it wasn't until the late 1980's that the square and surrounding blocks began to boom, after the MBTA extended the Red line to Davis. Today, Davis is a vibrant nightlife and dining district bustling with a unique mix of hipsters, college kids, young parents, and professionals. It's got everything one might need—but if not—you'll find yourself a short five stops on the T to Park Street Station and downtown Boston.

Built in 1941, and part of the national listing of historic places, the Rosebud Diner has its original facade, but a fresh interior. Both the food and the setting is casual american fare, but you’ll find offerings that keep you guessing, like the “Asian BBQ Hog Head”, and the “BBQ Baconator Meatloaf Fatty”. It’s a great place to grab a drink or sit down for dinner, and has a late-night menu for those out past 11. *Pro Tip: The homemade pies are great to have there or take away with you, and the brunch menu will not leave you wanting.*
