For better or for worse, South Kensington is a neighborhood in transition. Fancy new developments are popping up everywhere, but like so many areas of Philadelphia, the true appeal of South Kensington comes from it’s rich history and amalgamation of cultures. Although South Kensington isn’t (yet) the tourist destination that neighboring Northern Liberties or Fishtown are touted as, it still has much to offer.

I'm just going to say it: this is pretty much a hipster dive bar, although you can find a healthy amount of oldtimers here on an average night, also. There’s a giant backyard for outdoor vibes, pinball, and one of those digital jukeboxes that’s actually okay because it has a lot of Misfits songs. This place can get crazy busy on weekend nights.
