For better or for worse, South Kensington is a neighborhood in transition. Fancy new developments are popping up everywhere, but like so many areas of Philadelphia, the true appeal of South Kensington comes from it’s rich history and amalgamation of cultures. It’s exciting to see commercial enterprises make their way back into neglected factories and warehouses, and this nanobrewery has made a home for itself in between renovated loft residences. They’re only open once a month for tours, but they have plans to open a full tasting room and restaurant sometime next year. For now, it’s well worth a trip to check out their operations and grab a top notch Koffee Kolsch or Hopligation.
