For better or for worse, South Kensington is a neighborhood in transition. Fancy new developments are popping up everywhere, but like so many areas of Philadelphia, the true appeal of South Kensington comes from it’s rich history and amalgamation of cultures. Although South Kensington isn’t (yet) the tourist destination that neighboring Northern Liberties or Fishtown are touted as, it still has much to offer.
Made-in-Philadelphia jeans, totes, belts, aprons and more.
A reuse store that focuses on creative materials like fabric, wood, art supplies and more.
Resource Exchange began as a way of salvaging what was left after film or stage sets were torn down and otherwise discarded. These days you can find stacks on stacks of meticulously organized fabrics, costumes, building materials, props, office supplies and so much more. Stop by to peruse their offerings, or call in advance if you have something you'd like to donate yourself.
