The guide to Expo 2015 for design lovers. If we say SoHo, everyone thinks of a specific area of Manhattan (or London, if you are British). However, in New York City, SoHo stands for South of Houston Street. Here we are at Expo 2015; we are not as clever as in New York, so we have no SoDe (South of Decumanus). That said, if we organized names like in New York (NoLIta, North of Little Italy; NoMad, North of Madison Square Park, etc.), we would get SoDe. The south side of the matter. Piero Ciampi would have said: “[the roaring south](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F08NeU_97qY)”. This area was curated by the Social Media Team Expo 2015. All photos by Beatrice Bianchetti and Anna Chiara Maggiolini.
The only pre-existing building on the exhibition site.
The Belgian Pavilion is one of our favourites: the display is graphically impeccable (when the graphics and typography are well done it's always a good sign). Then we have diamonds, fish swimming freely (their doings feeding super healthy salads), a bar where from the morning onwards we can enjoy some incredible beers. What enchants all the visitors is the area with the master chocolate makers, where professional pastry chefs take it in turns to produce, under the eyes of the spectators, a plethora of creations of all types. An Andy Warhol world where chocolate is used instead of screen printing. The medium is the message. When the medium is chocolate, it's hard to resist the temptation to eat the message. You don't believe us? Look at these chocolate flowers by the maestro [Mario Pelckmans](http://food.be/belgian-chocolate-chefs-at-expo-milano-2015). Just one suggestion: hang onto the biscuit they give you at the entrance, because at the pavilion exit they will offer to cover it for you (in chocolate, obviously). What else is there to say? "Chocolate is the answer, who cares what the question is?"
