Let's call it a canyon, that becomes increasingly narrow and claustrophobic: impossible to resist the temptation to look up and take a photo with our smartphone. It's almost inevitable to look at the sky because the corridors inside are so narrow they verge on claustrophobic: incredulous, we stop to pull out our smartphones and work on the color contrast between the orange of the architecture and the blue of the sky. Architecture that forces us to look at the sky. What is there to say? Chapeau! Shoot, filter, upload, a check on the first likes received and we're ready to continue our journey inside this artificial desert. A genuine wall of sand that accompanies us until we reach the green oasis (complete with cafeteria). Gorgeous and really well done (it's no coincidence that everything was designed by Sir Norman Foster, a real superstar of contemporary architecture). In the age of Instagram, the success of a pavilion is often a linear function of its photogenic qualities.
